    that's right lebanon.

    what happened in lebanon again?

what the israelis do to the palestinians might not be right but let's not pretend palestinians do no wrong.
I still maintain that in order to get anywhere with this situation both sides need to pack in the belligerence and get around a table. Palestine needs to be autonomous and Israel needs to facilitate this.

But a reduction in the amount of hysteria is the only way to achieve it and the bogus comparisons to apartheid, the comparison of Israel to nazis and the constant and ludicrous claims that Israel is engaging in "genocide" only hinder this progress.

israel had taken steps to give them some autonomity.

problem is they can't give them total.

how many weapons get in gaza and the west bank now?

a people has to know when they're beaten.

when you're starving you don't complain about what they serve you.

they will never get what they want from israel. they need to compromise and compromise a lot.

their population is growing while israel's is stagnant.

      they can revisit this 30 , 40 , 50 years from now.

they ain't getting anywhere with what their doing though.

The irony is that while I advocate peace which will benefit everyone the people that play "let's pretend we give a **** about Palestine" favour an escalation of the conflict which hurts everyone to some degree but hurts Palestine more. The people of Palestine on the whole need peace. The ones that will be hurt by peace are the likes of the corrupt Palestinian Authority and the violent Hamas.

        It's a damned shame.

israeli casualties will always be much lower than palestinians.

          just how it is.

the more well equipped force will always have less casualties.

the more they fight , the worse it is for them. just a fact.

will they be able to get their independence or even the whole palestine back this way?

if that's what they want , that's on them.

people have defeated a more powerful foe before with guerrila tactics.

are they willing to sacrifice say 12 million like the north vietnamese did? or suffer like the afghanis did to achieve final victory?

the north vietnamese and afghanis were able to get the u.s. and u.s.s.r. to give up and leave. where would the idf leave to? unlikely they'll give up easily.

warfare will not accomplish much for the palestinians. they need a political solution.

they need international pressure on israeli (like with south africa) but they also need to appeal to israeli moderates.

they can't do that with bombs going off in buses and rockets coming from lebanon.

That's a good point. They do need to apply political pressure to Israel and the way to do that is to gain the sympathy of ever increasing numbers of israelis.

That's assuming of course that the goal is to have Israel exist alongside them as a separate entity. And that's far from given.
