Ive always wanted to get into production...never had the time and money for it tho.

Sometimes we have to quench the desires of our hearts, lest we live to regret what could have been.

Most of those machines cost less than $500 bucks if you shop around online, and once you've mastered it's nuances it'll be hard to pull you away from it for any length of time because of the virtually unlimited capacity to create any sound and rhythm. I may make it my Christmas present this year.

In all honesty, hip hop producers are about 4 steps behind electronic music producers when it comes to music production. I mean ****, you have dudes like Timbaland who claims he was the original creator of Dubstep.

This dude may look like some stoner, dirty, hippie raver, but dude makes anywhere from 10-40K a show. To put it in perspective. He tours the world about 8 months out of the year. Each week, he'll play about 2-3 shows. Thats about 20K or so. Its reasonable to say that every month, he clears about 60-80K. Now, for huge music festivals, his rate is anywhere from 40-50K and he usually does about 4-5 festivals. This dude makes close to 900K a year from touring alone.

The kicker, he only plays for about an hour and a half each show. So each month, his 7.5 hours of "work" or so yeilds about 60-80K.
