Today optimized the Trump presidency. Very few people even paid attention.

The stock market went above 30,000 for the 1st time in history. Trump came out and did a 45 second announcement and patted himself on the back for that accomplishment.

While he was doing that there was lines of people waiting to get food for thanksgiving. Thousands of cars across the country.

I get that Trump wants to pat himself on the back for his success but it never occurred to him the optics of him bragging about that while there are many, many Americans suffering from the economic fallout of the pandemic.

He comes off as being more concerned with getting credit than he does the plight of those suffering.

There is a long history of those who do not have privalege showing incredible ignorance... Do you remember... I forgot who it was, I think it was Bush, anyway he went into a grocery store and could not understand how a scanner worked because hehad never had to shop for groceries... and there was another one who was asked the price of certain groceries like milk and was clueless...

But then again... Look at Washington DC where ever with gentrification, some of the poorest areas in the country are a walk to the capital.
