Why would you put someone on for ignore for that? Its basically a declaration of ownage, and actually gives credence to what they were saying was right.
Just because someone says something, it doesn't mean you have HAVE to subscribe to it, let them have their opinion, and be content that you have it right, and they have it wrong.
