  • Comments Thread For: Concussed Gvozdyk Released From Hospital Sunday Morning

Former WBC light heavyweight champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk was released from a Philadelphia hospital Sunday morning. Ukraine's Gvozdyk spent two nights at Temple University Hospital after suffering a concussion during his 10th-round, technical-knockout loss to Artur Beterbiev on Friday night at Temple's Liacouras Center. Teddy Atlas, Gvozdyk's trainer, told ESPN.com on Sunday morning that Gvozdyk was held for observation following a physically taxing fight in which he was knocked down three times in the 10th round.

You're gonna need Usain Bolt's track shoes to beat Beterbiev. Theres no other way.

You will need a good chin and great stamina, that or be a big puncher. Beterbiev can certainly dish it out but he can be hurt also.

        Beterbiev is far from unbeatable.

Bivol would box Beterbiev ears off, school him and send him back to Russia

Glad he is OK he was taking A LOT of clean shots from Beterbiev in those final 2 Rounds before the fight was stopped was concerned about him but great news

Not to take anything away from Beterbiev, he is a BEAST but some punches did land to the back of the head which is very dangerous
