It is not theory, they used to have the fights all the time.

The bear would just cave the lion's skull in

If a female slot bear does that to a male tiger, it is pretty safe to safe that no big cat stands a chance against the top bears around.

Utter nonsence....No Predatory animal can "cave in" another similiar sized Predators skull with a paw swipe....That is an utter fairytale and should be obvious to another with an above 50 IQ....Not to mention Bears do not even use paw swipes in fights...They bite/thrash/grapple each other almost in a dog like manner...You clearly are a fool who knows absolutely nothing about either animal...

Bear vs Lion fights in the past were actually quite competitive with both winning....The famous Parnell the Lion vs Ramadan fight being the most famous example....Which was declared a draw despite the fact that the Bear outweighed the Lion by 200+lbs

However both Lions and Grizzly Bears generally lost to Spanish Bulls in fights until they started cutting off the Bulls horns/dulling them..

"Lairweb" is not a credible website you idiot....

You are clearly an idiot who knows nothing about animals....

Female animals protecting their young can almost always bluff away other predators....Hence why Wolves with pups can chase away/dominate 600lb Male Grizzlies at Wolf den sites.....Female Grizzlies with young cubs can chase off large Male Grizzlies twice their size....Lioness with cubs can chase off Male lions....It is extremely common in nature....

As for Bear vs Big Cats??? At max weights?? Of course Bears are too much.... Simply because the largest Bears are over 2xs as large as the largest Big Cats....Size matters when two Carnivores fight each other.....

At equal weights....Bears are outmatched in pretty much every area.....

Accounts of Lions killing Grizzly Bears

                    http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=3889729

There were plenty of accounts where the Bears won/killed Lions aswell....So it's not like the fights were one sided...They were usually very close fights and both animals won on numerous occasions over the other....

Neither animal "caved" the others skull in with one paw swipe or whatever ludicrous fairytale that goes around from idiots on the internet...They were long drawn out fights...often 20 minutes+ long

Both animals usually lost to Spanish Bulls.....until they started cutting the Bulls horns off...

A black panther would get its ass kicked by a lion which would get its ass kicked by a bear. Not sure where Polar bears rank on the 'danger scale' but I hear they are supposed to be much bigger than any other bear
Interior American Grizzly Bears average 400-600lbs and fights between Grizzly (technically European Brown Bears) and African Lions were 50/50 in historical pit fights....With the Lion often winning at equal/similiar sizes and almost always being the aggressor....

Lion vs Brown Bear fight accounts where the Lion won

                      http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=3889729

The only animal that generally "dominated" in pit fights was Spanish Bulls....Which generally whooped both European Brown Bears and Lions until the operators of the fights started chopping off their horns...Since they were killing so many Lions and Brown Bears....
