You are totally right. I have lived in many other countries and while we in the US are not always right we are still the example to follow.

I don't think any nation would be wise to follow in the footsteps of the US.

On topic:

The Military has always had a bad rep especially in foreign countries.
Japan, S.Korea, Iraq, Vietnam ... the list is too extensive. But US soldiers always end up raping indigenous women off-base .... I would guess its only natural to expect that activity to include women in the Military as well. For it to be made public is shocking ... this is not something the Military wants exposed.

US servicemen on base have plenty of options for actual dating. Remember this article is about incidence of rape perpetrated against FEMALE soldiers - there are females on base who could be wooed in the usual way but instead are raped.

Or they could go over to the British camps for Naked Bar.
