Now in days couples (not married) sit down and plan when to have kids, it just happens that's when you (like it or not) have to make changes in your life with the quickness

if you have no job...look for one, kids are extremely expensive

and no your social life doesn't end...it gets put on hold for 18 years unless you decide to have more than one

true. even financially - if you wait you'll always find something else that you "need to have" before you have settle down.

the most important thing is that you're in a loving relationship with somebody who is employed. Period.

I'd say around 8. They're still nice and tight then.

Early 30's is probably best. Assume 30, that way the little ****er is outta college by the time your 55 and you're still young enough to be responsibility free there after.
