    Its the way boxing goes.
Too much money to be made.
    I wouldn't make that assumption.

The new boss may not have a strict anti-haymon policy but HBO has a limited budget and already have a few stars (plus Ward) under exclusive contract with guaranteed dates. They also have a limited number of dates for Top Rank and Golden Boy to occupy. Nobody is going to break the budget for a Haymon fight just as a gesture of goodwill. Also, if Hershman's replacement is in-house, which I would expect, those guys are very aware of what happens when haymon has control of a network (look at what he did to Showtime in 2014 and 2015).

No way he was pushed out HBO was having a great year so this is shocking. It will be interesting to see what he is moving on to. He had a great gig so for him to step away he must have something even bigger lined up. He left HBO in a great spot they got 9 of the top 10 P4P best fighters in the world and HBO is closing the year with so many great fights.

Any word on who your new boss is going to be?

Think your viewing HBOs position with rose tinted glasses ( I'm shocked )

        Interesting times ahead

Completely agree. He couldn't have been pushed out. HBO dominated this year.

Didn't Hershman was the one showcasing Hyamon fighters on HBO before Haymano¿ went to showtime?

No way, HBO used to be THE boxing channel back in the 2000's, but showtime with haymon and gbp made a big push and now with PBC u can do quite well as a boxing fan without HBO.

I don't even remember fights that showtime had besides Chavez jr -fonfora. Also they all had poor ratings along with the pure bull**** catchweight fights. The truth is in the fights and ratings. the fact the fights on free tv gets pretty much the same ratings as the fights on cable says a lot.

Herschman came to HBO in 2011, has he made HBO boxing any bigger? No they're worse now. The confirmation that GGG has no star power was probably the straw that broke the camel's back

that's a weak response. So his ppv only did 150K. Doesn't mean he isn't a draw. Face it they ****ted on showtime and pbc this year. Maybe they'll do better next year
