Your 2011 Game of the Year?

Some of you may know, i make this thread every December.


2011 was a great year for games, and I once again bought all the best ones.


Got Mass Effect 2 for PS3 In January, never played ME before. After completing it I can say ME2 is one of the best games ever made. Dark Souls was fantastic, Uncharted 3 is the best looking game out, BF3 has a weak campaign but a strong multi-player , MW3 has a decent Campaign and a Good multi-player. UMVC3 is a huge improvement over MVC3. Skyrim wasn't perfect or the best looking game but it ended up being my choice for Game of the Year.

honestly don't get the hype for mass effect. i'm sure the story is straight but the gameplay was boring as shit. very bland corridor to corridor shootouts and certain parts of the game looks like they belong on the PS1.

It's the characters, the story, and the impact your choices have on the story. It's way beyond anything else.

Honestly, if you like any other third person shooter like Gears or Resident Evil, I don't see how you can complain about Mass Effect 2, it's pretty much the same with awesome powers you can use on top of it.

Skyrim, it's a no-brainer. Mark my words, any Elder Scrolls game until the end of time will be GOTY.

Unless Fallout or a Kojima game come out in the same year.
