Why do people pretend Ortiz is a good opponent for Wilder?

It was a good fight and I wouldn't mind seeing it again but not really at expense of other opponents. Id prefer ruiz v wilder. Id prefer dillian v wilder. Parker v wilder. Pulev v wilder.
Ortiz let wilder lead foot get too close to his southpaw right foot

      Ortiz almost stopped Wilder.

Imagine what Ortiz would've done to AJ.

He wouldn't have climbed off the canvas four times, he would've been out cold.
You’re absolutely right, the only reason Wilder didn’t get stopped is because he got that inexplicable extra break before the start of round 8...A huge talking point which one one here seems to mention.

But in terms of this rematch this should be easy work for Wilder, the dinosaur that is Ortiz is another year older this fight should end inside 6 imo.

I don’t doubt that he can fight and is dangerous.

I’m just worried about him getting badly injured. More so because they’ve clearly put the writing on the wall themselves.

Not even making excuses for him either.

But why is a boxer with a documented vascular issues licensed? If he’s got hypertension he quite literally has damage to his blood vessels already, narrowing, scar tissue, the damage is already there. More likely to rupture more likely bleed quickly and not clot fast enough when ruptured.

If he did get an injury heads would roll.

        Stuff like that worries me.

Hypertension is common in society but in the boxing ring where people get punched in the head?

Whole thing seems like a massive accident waiting to happen.

He could spark Wilder. Doesn’t change the fact that he’s vulnerable

Why is he a good win for Wilder and why is Wilder fighting him AGAIN when there are young prime opponents out there???
Why do people praise Fury for barely escaping with his life against Wilder but **** all over Thurman for the Lopez fight?

Why do people pretend that Fury didn't blatantly run with his tail between his legs from the rematch?

Aren't those the better questions, since the only reason Wilder is fighting Ortiz is because Fury bushed out.

Inexplicable? It's in the godam ny rules dumb ass and if you weren't a casual you would know it's so commonly done in NY nobody even bats an eye lash about it, unless of course you're Deontay Wilder

This thread is about Wilder, not AJ. Stop grouping all black people together you racist bytch. And Ortiz ducked AJ.

You are correct about the PEDS, his age and the fact he looks crap but he is still a good opponent for Deontay Wilder cuz Deontay Wilder is a **** Boxer and you can be all those things and still give Wilder a hard time cuz hes not good enough to stop you all he can do is keep losing rounds and hope he lands one of his right hand bombs, and then hope you dont get back up.

Go back and watch their last fight...
Observe who controls the centre of ring, who is scared to throw punches because of constant counters, who was saved by the bell in rd 7, and who had the CORRUPT referee David Fields give them an extra 20 crucial seconds rest at start of round 8 for NO GOOD REASON. Observe who was punching to the body, dictating the pace of the fight, picking off from range and the list goes on.

How many southpaw hw’s with power that counterpunch in the top 50 in world weighing 230+ pounds? Where do you get good sparring for camp?

Wilder got through with his right hand, although in hindsight he would have won anyway with the judges and ref on his side.

I take my hat off to Wilder that he is willing fight anyone but actually watching him fight is painful. Worst technique for a champion ever!
I see you dont know shyt about boxing. Ortiz was a 50 year old PED CHEAT that had no chance, he was forced to undergo PED testing and was brought in to lose to Wilder.

The fact that Wilder struggled just shows how bad Beyonce Wilder really is.

Wilder needs to fight Whyte, Parker, Ruiz, etc. Why the fck does he get to fight old ass Ortiz again?

Hold your champion to a higher standard, fool.
