similar to how saunders became the boogeyman at MW overnight by beating a guy that ggg already butchered. and after his fight vs akavov ppl were telling him to retire and calling him paper champ.
theres a saying "you're only as good as your last fight". so that explains the overhype certain fighters receive immediately post fight.
ggg was an indestructible force vs wade, lemule, rubio, monroe etc.. but after jacobs and canelo hes overnight "old" and no longer "prime". fans can only react to your last fight.
some fans are motivated by race but thats part of boxing. this sport is tribal. its cool to root for your guy but when that sht starts to cloud your ability to make fair judgements then you got a problem.
spence is a world class, maybe elite fighter. Definitely not a hypejob. Saying that people are going over the top as per, the fight yesterday was nothing more than a formality. I do wonder whether people make out the fights are going to be competitive so they can act stunned when their guy wins big.

That's exactly what you did for GGG/Jacobs after months of shitting on Danny, isn't it?
It's not a race/color thing, it's more that big punchers and exciting destroyer type fighters always get a lot of hype. Not a bad thing at all, these guys make boxing extremely interesting with their style.
