  • Comments Thread For: Parker Promoter: Hearn is Greedy, Martin Was Paid Over $5 Million!

Joseph Parker's promoter suspects the "greedy" Anthony Joshua camp are dragging out negotiations for a unification fight as they fear the Brit would lose his heavyweight titles. Duco Events director David Higgins this week said that Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, had made an insulting offer for a bout with WBO champion Parker. Higgins said they would accept a 60-40 split in IBF, IBO and WBA strap-holder Joshua's favour, but revealed the two parties are a long way from reaching an agreement.

the way things are going..this rat of a promoter David Higgins will never be satisfied with any deal offered to his fighter..hearn and A.j will have to make themselves uncomfortable and overpay them..it will be satisfying when Joshua gets him in the ring and k.o him into oblivion..on a sidenote its gonna be a tough fight but Joshua will win anyways

If Parker want the Joshua fight why doesnt his team make him an offer and bring the fight to New Zealand?

“He’s greedy. But we want more money...”

Martin had the heavyweight belt. It was a fair exchange. 5 mil for his title.

            Realism - you ain't worth 40%...
To be fair 20% is low

AJ is gonna stop a guy who's never been hurt let alone down in a fight ? Lol, sure. Did you notice following AJ's career his power hasn't been as effectual as he's risen his competition level, Whyte, Breazeale seven rounds, Takam 10 rounds the guy really should have been able to continue its a damned title fight and AJ was lost for ideas of how to actually stop him, the shell of Wladimir Klitschko 11 rounds, a stoppage when AJ was landing zero clean when he had Wlad on the ropes and AJ had completely emptied the tank himself, as he showed in the round he was dropped the round before he completely punched himself out. Parker has a far superior chin to Klitschko and is far from 41 years old.

I don't see how anyone can say with a degree certainty AJ would beat Parker. In fact I find it laughable.

I've said it from the beginning. The numbers are ~$7 million (Parker) and ~$10 million (Wilder) for these fights to happen. Based on the revenue they'll generate these numbers aren't bad. Vlad and AJ walked away with $20 million apiece. I'd expect the pot for Parker to be around $30 million and Wilder $35 million. Hearn is lowballing with anything less.

A world champion deserves to get paid more than a mandatory.

Can we all agree on that?
