Okay. Does it work like this: Since the man is dead i can give you his name and i don't think Don King minds.
My source back in january -88 at Trump Plaza Casino was Richie Giachetti.

Thanks Anthony. My last sitcom was airing more than twenty years ago and it actually did quite well.

Even if your story is true, then remember that the info came from Holmes trainer, so you would expect him to up Holmes legacy. Furthermore you'd have to question how he himself got that info. Under what circumstances? A jokish sideremark from King's gardener? From King himself (always trying to please to earn a buck).

And finally is there anything that supports this very weak claim? Does the actual footage that suggest Shavers held back? Has Shavers subsequently said that he got a shot at Holmes because he took it easy on Ali? Anything?

You got some good points there. True, when i spoke to him he was training Holmes for the Tyson fight and he was working for King.
But he said to me not to publish the story because it would be bad for boxing. Giachetti told me that there was already too much politics involved in the sport because of money.
After watching the fight a couple times, i personally think that Shavers held back.
The only question remains, why Giachetti told me his version. Could be money who knows.
After all, Ali was still active when Holmes had those life and death-struggles with Shavers.

But your current one isn't, according to recent reports. Sorry to hear that. I guess people would rather watch sitcoms with cartoon characters on Sunday nights on Fox.

I used to, but if it's well written, I like either kind. Bob's Burgers is pretty fun. And I like the idea that the characters can stay the same age in these shows. Rel is kind of dull. Was hoping it would be a hit though, cause I like Sinbad. The only thing I don't like about animated shows is that the producers keep them on TV FOREVER. Just end them already. Matt Groening did that with Futurama but won't do it with The Simpsons, even though it's in its 30th Season now. They passed Gunsmoke in seasons and now in number of episodes, I don't think it's as bad as most people say, but definitely not as good as the first 10 for sure. Just end it already. Family Guy and Bob's Burgers are at least still doing it, although Family Guy is getting there soon and should probably end, especially with Seth McFarlane doing that newer show of his The Orville.

Same thing with police procedurals now, Dick Wolf and NBC now set this terrible precedent when the original Law and Order lasted 20 years. Now Special Victims Unit is in its 20th year. I guess Wolf wants to challenge the binge watchers out there. I hate to binge watch, so that will probably take me months, maybe even years to get through, so might watch the shorter lived ones first. He's also doing those Chicago shows mostly now too, Fire, MD and PD. It's like the whole Marvel movie universe. Geez, not everything needs to be a franchise or shared universe, people.

They do it better in the UK, IMO. Most of the time 2 years, 8 episodes a year and then they end it. I like how the producers do Sherlock, one multi part story per year. Roger Price used to do that in the '70s with the original Tomorrow People series, which has since been remade twice. The '90s one isn't too bad, the 2013 series was well made.
