Grabbing non stop, especially for no reason, is illegal, but hometown guys get away with it.
Floyd starting doing it after the 1st maidan a fight, broner did it, hatton did it, ward.
It's ridiculus, and it's really hurting the sport.

Learn from May 2, and this fight. referees are the ones who sets the tone of a fight. If they keep on allowing clinching. It will turn into a slow energy diffusing exercise of boring uneventful boxing.
Referees have the responsibility to keep the action going, just like how MMA refs bring fighters up when they are in a stale mate when they are on the ground. Referees should know when action is becoming stagnant.
If boxing will go on, they should start limiting clinching and dirty tactics.Last edited by Spoon23; 06-22-2015, 06:03 PM.

It's weird because Brook was hugging more than Broner, in the Porter fight but he was not penalized or warned once.
I think Broner was also putting his gloves in Porters face and pulling his head down a lot, and other stuff that made it look pretty bad.
