Kinda funny how people are saying Lemieux's bum, can't box, no good, and yet here we are all talking about him. How'd he get here--by knocking out Curtis? Nope, Lemieux newsworthiness and his reputation as a fighter who can sell seats comes from the brand he has built for years.
Lemieux has a bankable reputation of providing exciting performances and knocking guys out. He's a former IBF Middleweight Champion. He didn't just arrive here the day after he KO'd Curtis. Nope---Lemieux has been knocking out people since day one. Check his record--40 fights, 33 KO's. Some will maybe say he KO'd bums but he beat some of the same guys GGG beat. He's not GGG, he's not Canelo, he's not Marvin Hagler....but man he's a talented and exciting fighter. It's not out of the question that he could hold a top belt again once day.
