That said if they were close to going broke why in the motherf#ck would they do a 200lb Part II tournament that virtually everyone said they weren't a fan of best case & thought it was completely stupid worse case.

Also the focus on non-US fighters probably wasn't the best approach either. Maybe go into the country that pays guys the most money & the gates do the best & the casino's pay premiums just for you to bring fights to them.

Honestly if they were concerned about money idk why they woulda started another 200lb tournament to begin with. That just seems stupid.

Fair play it is a solid tournament ,but because they just did it last year with many of the same guys it feels also ran like a mfer.

Wonder if some money fell out somewhere or some money didn't come in somewhere.

Randomly at the initial presser for this were they guaranteed a budget for season 1 to 2 or maybe even 3???

Not sure man. I forgot that's super lightweight tourney too. If they can salvage either the 140 or 118 i'll be less pissed. Don't know why they begin the tournaments if the financial aspect is not certain.

As much as I love the 118 tournament, they should have gone with a class that has some American name to root for (watching Regis pick up Crawford’s vacated straps aren’t gonna do it. 140 is a stepping stone division.)
