  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Wilder, His Handlers Don't Have Decency To Answer Back

Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, is claiming that WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, and his handlers, have not responded to any of his recent fight offers. Hearn was hoping to get something down for a Joshua vs. Wilder fight, for April 13th at Wembley Stadium in London, but that appears very unlikely.

Remember when the narrative was that AJ runs the heavyweight division, and Wilder’s entire career depends on bending over and taking anything Eddie throws at them? Hmmm... Then Fury and Wilder show what real champs do, and Eddie and AJ are left begging for somebody to give them the time of day. This is all so delicious!

Isn't Wilder set to make a mandatory with a purse bid deadline set already? Hearn's turtleneck is cutting off oxygen to the brain.

Remember when Wilder fans said they didn't care about negotiations and money, Joshua was ducking and they wanted a undisputed champion? Now they know Wilder is the one ducking and supporting it.

Wilder already has a guaranteed huge payday with Fury lined up, so Hearn probably won't be hearing from either of them until that business is done. It's likely going to outsell Joshua's next fight too.

If only he were this adamant about wanting and trying to make the fight last year. Oh well, Wilder and his team have stated that Fury is their focus, Hearn shouldn't be surprised
