The man had cleared out his division at age 23. If he had gone up in weight through the 80s and beaten guys like Arguello and JCC I don't know if anyone could deny he was the GOAT. Unfortunately he didn't so I can't call him the best ever.Comment

What he would've done is have his scheduled rematch with LaPorte then likely retired to become a doctor. Wether he would've stuck to that is another thing, as we know boxers are likely to come back into the sport but Sanchez had his heart set on becoming a doctor and announced the rematch would be his last bout.
