Did Floyd Mayweather Sr really call Floyd JR's handlers after Sanders fight?

I just watched the Mayweather Vs Chop Chop fight. Larry Merchant mentions Floyd Sr calling from prison to tell Floyd Jr's handlers to not put him in with any more southpaws.. Is this legit?

i dont know about that, but i've heard it from sr's mouth that he doesn't like little floyd fighting southpaws, this was back in 09 or whenever pacquiao dismantled cotto

If so then it changed my opinion on the fight somewhat. I was always certain that Floyd would easily outpoint Manny. But if Floyd Sr did that, that raises concerns to me.
