It's no wonder why Canelo wants to fight Kovalev. Who does he thinks he is fooling? He's a cherrypick! Alvarez thinks he is bigger than the sport of boxing. Well, he is not bigger than the sport of boxing. I don't understand why DAZN tolerates his bullshit.

Nah, Iím sick of princes Alvarez too but if he faces Kovalev at LHW with no special weight restrictions, thatís far from a cherrypick. Especially when you consider that if he does face him, Kovalev will be coming off of a big win.

So far as Furyís interview, it was mostly Fury telling anyone who will listen how great he is. Talking about Yarde was just a way to get an audience.

If Yarde gets outclassed and embarrassed, sure, his career will take real hit. If he takes a loss but the fight is well fought and competitive his career probably gets a boost.

Its noteworthy and plays in the mind of many. The fact that Kovalev successfully defended unified titles against only three fighters before the Ward loss does not shine as well as GGGs run.

2) The 2 Ward fights v the 2 Canelo fights. Both first fights were disputed, but the fact that Kov lost a UD with all three judges agreeing makes it seem more legit, than Canelo/GGG 1. For many, GGG was able to earn a draw in the first fight despite the Byrd card, and Canelo having the support of a big time (allegedly corrupt) promoter. In the second fights, Kov was folded by a man roughly his own age, and GGG once again went toe-to-toe with an in prime lion (despite being on the wrong side of 35). This may not really mean he is better, but it does help further the narrative.

Now, whether or not these mean anything is up to the reader, but they are the type of things that seem to push the vote.
Being that Canelo was the smaller fighter coming up.. wouldn't GGG had the task to stop Canelo ?

Fury will tell us next tell us what time to go to sleep at night and what color the sky is. Guy has an opinion on EVERYTHING. what does Yarde/Kov have to do with him? If Fury actually had a legit opponent he was fighting next he would be focused on that. Instead it is theatrics and lip service constantly from this clown.
He and AJ should fight since they are neighbors. How can you be a world champ if you r not the best in your town?

"I think a young man will always beat an older one and that's my motto" except when it's Manny vs Keith.

Depends how he loses though. If it's an early KO, I think he won't be able to escape the hype job and chinny stigma that will be attached to him.

If he gets beaten to a pulp over 12 rounds or gets stopped late or shutout, again, it will affect him mentally, emotionally, psychologically, and even socially. He might never recover.

The only way a lose is good for him I if he loses a close decision. If he gets stopped it must be a FOTY type of loss.

But a loss is a loss anyway, nothing beats a convincing win or stoppage.

That's a dumb thing to say

I'm not holding Ward losses against Kovalev. He was robbed twice one way or another (second time with KO on a low blow). Likewise GGG was robbed twice, but at least he has one draw. The main difference between their careers is that Kovalev legitimately lost by KO to Eleider Alvarez, while GGG never was even KD or visibly hurt in any of his fights.
