Amash is schmuck who desperately wants to make a name for himself by trying to separate his image from other Republicans in the era of Trump by attacking Trump. He claims that he is quitting the Republican party while voting 93% of the time with the Republican party. This guy is a joke and the ONLY reason you like him is because hes the only so called Republican who loves to virtue signal his hate for Trump. You are by far the least informed person when it comes to rational political discussion on USA, probably because you reside in a country that no one cares about.

Protectionism isn't socialism. Protectionism although frowned upon by capitalists serves the purpose of protecting ones industries against exploitation from foreign powers. Its been used by the USA since its foundation, namely first in 1789 when George Washington signed into a 5% tariff for all foreign imports. Socialism is the means of the government distributing tax money as it sees fit, two totally different things.
