Sanctioning bodies rank the fighters pursuing their titles. They don't rank fighters that aren't fighting for their organization. WBC, WBA, IBF or WBO rankings are not ranking for the entire world of boxing. They are rankings for that individual organization and the fighters currently fighting for that organization.

Last I checked, the seedings for the NBA playoffs only included teams playing in the NBA.

Do you comprehend how irrelevant a fighter Mitch Green is compared to Wilder? That's a bottom of the barrel journeyman fresh off the street, he has NOTHING on a world class fighter like Wilder.

Khan was a damn good fighter as well and Maidana became his best as a fighter when he hired Robert Garcia in 2012.

Mitch green and Robert Garcia have no part of anything I have said or what you originally said.

How is that relevant in any capacity? There is only one governing body in the NBA. The NBA. The best teams in the regular season face each other in the playoffs. There is only one ranking system. It is universal and definitive. None of the governing body rankings are definitive. They do not represent the actual best in any division. Either you are the top fighter in your division, a legit contender or you are a fringe contender or less. If you have a bogus high ranking from a corrupt governing body it doesn't necessarily represent where you stand overall. Stop blindly standing by alphabet rankings as if they truly represent the best in any given division. Your point that governing bodies only rank fighters pursuing their belt is exactly the problem. It creates the illusion that those ranked fighters are actually the best in their division. Why even have top 10 rankings if they don't reflect universal boxing rankings. It's a joke.

And there's only one governing body in the WBC. And it ranks the top fighters fighting for the WBC.

The WBC isn't the only league in boxing just as the NBA isn't the only league in basketball.
