  • Proof ARUM Underpayed Crawford, FURY gets 103million US Dollars

FURY runs ESPN! Big Paychecks, Big Dogs Only!

With Arum’s experience seeing how HBO and Showtime made May vs Pac., and a two year narrative for Spence vs Crawford, as well as Showtime in strong motion with PPV, Arum and ESPN wanted a piece from the lot.

I imagine that this 80 mil quid is performance based. Whatever the pay dividends may be, if Fury signed a 5 year deal, he’s mailing 10 million a fight? Crawford makes 3 million a fight. Fury is getting his pay grade based on Showtime’s success and how they helped promote him.

Arum isn't paying him. ESPN is. Top Ranks name only there because they have a deal with ESPN.

its an inflated number given in a press release which has AJ and wilder fights built into it....its a number they are guessing he will make in the deal if he fights wilder again and AJ

that deal doesnt stand by itself with aj and wilder in the equation....simple

Heavyweight division historically generate more money. On a per fight average Crawford makes more money than his peers at welterweight. Even Keith Thurman a top welter at PBC said Crawford has a good deal over at ESPN.

Fury is a charismatic HW, and sold 4x as much ppv than Crawford did of course he’s gonna make more

Not even Crawford would argue against this. Its a non issue.

ESPN and Top Rank are a program. ESPN goes to Top Rank for consultation with pays and expected revenues since Bob knows all sales from all angles. It’s Arum’s call.

What’s even more interesting is what the 80milliin quid is divided into, the less number of fights within a 3 or 5 year deal means he gets paid more than the average.

It’s got nothing to do with Heavyweights. Where is Tyson’s justification for his pay grade for the fights he’s done in the USA? Has Tyson done better overrall than Crawford?

I’m glad Fury is getting this pay, I’m just pointing out that Crawford is getting underpaid. You guys will see the final earnings from Garcia and Spence to prove my point.
