Just like Floyd Canelo is moving up in weight, facing the tougher challenges, his 3rd division in the span of just 7 years.

ggg 11 years to move up or down and has not budged from 160

The difference between the Floyds and Canelos is they seek out better competition, ggg on the other hand does nothing.

That is why this is a great win for Canelo, and just a good win for ggg.
When Floyd beat nelo, nelo weren't even top 30 PFP fighter no matter wh at ring mag says. He was drained and green. There's 3 reasons right there why it weren't good win four floyd.
Nelo beating GGG is better win for nelo than GGG, I can agree with that. But were talking slight difference in credit.
Nelo is taking more risk. That's why Floyd isnt a's great as he wants to be. He didn't like to give advantages away 99% of time. Nelo now is a legite top pfp fighter. He's improved since loss to Floyd. So GGG beating nelo is bettbthan Floyd's win. Floyd's always been about fighting at right time and zero.

Now in barely his 2nd fight against a true MW he's facing ggg.

ggg on the other hand has had 11 years to move from 160 and has REFUSED despite calling out people in lower and higher divisions. Canelo is his 3rd opponent in 2 years that has fought over 95% of his competition at lower weights.

ggg fighting yet ANOTHER opponent that has little to no experience at 160, Canelo joins Brook and Lemieux.

Canelo is taking the bigger risk here, his 3rd weight class over a champion. ggg? fighting just another inexperienced MW.
Thank you for attempting to educate some fans but unfortunately you will get a lot of negative or detracting responses despite what you posted being 100% true

You do know that Canelo is actually bigger than GGG, right?

Chavez is not a true MW. Barely a SMW. Could not even make 170 in the fight against Reyes. He is LHW.

Haven't seen any evidence yet. All the evidence I've see points towards ggg being the bigger man.

Just looking at the facts, ggg has had 0 fights at 154 where some of the biggest names in boxing are. A weight where he could even get some big name fights with Welters.

We've seen pics of ggg walking around near 190-200lbs.

Against Brook ggg looked like a skeleton, can you imagine him losing another 6lbs?

And finally when standing next to Canelo ggg is obviously the bigger man

golovkin=has this dream to unify the MW division

golovkin=lets cotto and canelo play with the belt he wanted for a couple of years....why? in hopes of using their names and big money....this unification nonsense is some silly excuse he used to duck the ward fight.....golovkin cares about money as much as the next guy...his legacy dont really matter to him

                      Canelo vs Lara - 171
                      Canelo vs Angulo - 174
Canelo vs Floyd (catchweight of 152) - 166.8
                      Canelo vs Trout - 172

GGG was 170 on fight night against Monroe, and weighed 168.8 for a recent fight, forgot which, because of the WBC (or WBA) can't weight above 170 rule, and for Jacobs, weighed in at 169.8.
