  • Cotto vs Geale,Wilder vs Molina Throwdown Fantasy previews

The Throwdown Fantasy scoring system accounts for method of victory, punch***8217;s landed, knock downs, +- rating, accuracy, punches landed and punches thrown.

Miguel Cotto ($5,200) vs. Daniel Geale ($4,400)
June 6th At New York (HBO)

For Cotto to win he must keep the fight on the inside. He needs to use his left jab to the body in order to set up his power punches, especially his patented left hook. He must constantly come forward in order to cut distance and continuously pressure Geale. For Geale to win he must utilize his 4 inch reach advantage in order to control distance. He must employ his jab, and go to the body early and often. He will also have to use his footwork to land his jabs and then immediately move out of Cotto***8217;s wheelhouse.

Our suggestion: Although Miguel Cotto is giving up 3 inches in height and 4 inches in reach, he should be able to move forward and land some big shots on Geale. While you cannot question Geale***8217;s heart, you can definitely question his chin, which will almost certainly be put to the test in this fight. Cotto is one of the hardest punchers in the sport, even at middleweight. The guess here is that Geale tries his best to fight on the outside early but eventually gives in to Cotto***8217;s pressure and hits the canvas at least once.
    Bottom Line: Cotto (big advantage)

Deontay Wilder ($6,000) vs. Eric Molina ($3,900)
    At Birmingham, Ala. (Showtime)

For Wilder to win he should tenderize Molina with his stiletto jabs, then blast him with quick-fisted bombs. Rinse and repeat until Molina falls. For Molina to win he should try to recapture the stellar form he showed in his last fight against Brazilian Raphael Zumbrano, where he landed 76% of his power shots in registering an eighth-round TKO. He also must hope that Wilder will spend too much time basking in the adulation of his hometown fans and not enough time focusing on him.

Our suggestion: Wilder is an overwhelming favorite here, and for good reason. He may be too expensive a proposition and the fight might not last long enough to build up sufficient points, especially when one considers that both of Molina***8217;s defeats came by first round knockout and that Wilder has scored 18 first-round stoppages.
    Bottom Line: Wilder (huge advantage)

Basically. Difficult aspect is managing your bankroll/budget ; which means you can not pick the favorite in every instance the goal is to gain more points than the rest of the participants.More than likely that is determined if you can pick the upset OR how many punches your fighter can land ; knockdowns as far as I know are not taken into consideration ( big mistake/flaw in the system) I just joined last week so Im not to sure , losing already with Geale for the upset =).

Theres a free game coming up with big names including :Broner,Porter,Lemeiux,Bradley,Vargas,& Ward coming up for real money.Even if you do not win the tools/stats is a fun and interesting feature in the game.
