He ducked a prime Cotto at 147 also.

I would have liked to have seen that fight instead of Zab Judah or Baldomir.Originally posted by twrx View PostPne of the greatest ducks of all timeOriginally posted by Fantasiabruja View PostIn the publics eye yes, but he did have a legit excuse (his beef with Top Rank).Originally posted by supRa View Postthis....i remember when tony fought cintron in espn ppv in 2005. he had alot of buzz! specially in 2006. m@xboxing to margarito is how fighthype is to floyd. mboxing and tony went to the danger zone press confrence and approached floyd. there was another video where mboxing had where they interviewed bob in the strip answering why floyd didnt take 8Million to fight margarito. Tony had alot of BUZZ during that time.Originally posted by El-blanco View PostI remember the buzz for him being quite big as well at that time. Not sure why you say otherwise. ko'ing cintron was a big deal at that time and so was beating clottey. When he lost to the punisher it was a huge deal. Go back and watch that fight and listen to how they talk about him.
He looked at Pacman like daaaaaamnnn!!! He never looked at Cotto and Margarita in that type of way. He probably thought they were beneath him, but they werent apart of his plan!
By the time they started making noise, Oscar was right around the corner!

Originally posted by MurkaMan View PostNot true! Before Margarita and Cotto even existed, Floyd was chasing two money fights with Gatti and Oscar. They werent extremely credible, just money fights. He spent his entire career going up in weight, chasing those two fights, and he went directly to those fights. His haters accused him of ducking 10-20 fighters who were in between. When he retired he came back and fought people bigger, stronger, and faster than a prime margarita and cotto. Cotto was good for a little guy at 140. But Floyd never looked at them the way he looked at Pacman.

what do you mean he went directly to them? i can remember him fighting guys like corley and bruseles, and then mitchell, zab and baldomir. you are on time out from using the word directly. he didnt' have time to sneak in a career high payday while waiting for hoya? you kinda prove the point that he was ducking right there. floyd wanted hoya so bad that he couldn't risk losing to marg.
