  • [PLEASE HELP] Informative speech on Nuclear Energy

I have an informative speech due at 9am, and I spent the last 10 hours trying to find a topic. I decided to do it on Nuclear Energy and it's pros and cons, and maybe talk about what happened with the nuclear plant in Japan (which I still don't know too much about).

Guys, I need help with 2 things:

    1. A central idea that I should concentrate on since this is a broad topic and I only have 4-6 moinutes of talking time.
    2. A hook. Knowing me, I'll spend another 3 hours drawing blanks on how to start my speech, so if anyone can think of an interesting hook please tell me.

Thanks in advance, and for your time (and to show how much I love you guys) here's a picture of my girlfriend:

I actually also have an imformative speech due in the morning

Why would you pick a topic you know nothing about? Pick a topic you're are very familiar with and probably know enough about right now that you dont even need to read off a paper one bit

I dont know, I just wanted a topic that would get me an easy A. I would have done it about guns, since it's a major hobby for me and I go shooting every week, but we all know that most teachers - and mine is no exemption - are liberals and those types of politically charged topics don't fare too well with them.

four minutes is a long time to stand up and talk.

          2. A hook. Knowing me, I'll spend another 3 hours drawing blanks on how to start my speech, so if anyone can think of an interesting hook please tell me.
          How about this:

All of you people are ****s. Fuck your mothers. Nuclear power produces almost 20% of the energy needs of the United States...

How could you get an A on a topic you knew almost nothing about?.By cheating and trying to impress your professor?.

Now go to the site above site and study it then learn and decide for yourself which is better and push for it.

There is no shortcut to learning....

That's why you research, and learn about the topic before you talk about it. How do you expect to learn new things if you always talk about what you already know? I don't see how I was cheating, either.

I got an A on my speech, by the way.

Oh and Piggy, you used to be helpful at one point in time, but you have grown increasingly unhelpful over the past year. You also let your obsession with Athiesm consume you. Just throwing it out there, lol.
