If Team Pacquiao had never blamed their loss on Pacquiao's shoulder injury, and just said that "the better man won," I think we would've already had a rematch! When you pair the "injury excuse" with the "fake contracts," I highly doubt Floyd wants to do business with Arum anytime soon! There's only one fight that Floyd should consider a comeback for, and that's a rematch with Canelo Alvarez @ 154! That's probably more money than Mayweather vs. Pacquiao II.

"So, to the public, it was a boring fight, much less than the hype promised. But, immediately afterward, it got more bizarre, as only boxing seems able to do.

Nobody knew about Pacquiao's pre-fight injury, but in revealing it to the gathered media afterward, Team Pacquiao did its best Cool Hand Luke imitation. It had a failure to communicate — with each other.

Roach said he was surprised when one of the first questions in the post-match news conference was about the injury. He had been told on the way out, by Top Rank's head man, Bob Arum, to say nothing. But apparently it was Arum, angry that the Nevada Athletic Commission had not allowed Pacquiao to be given a doctor-approved and legal painkiller injection just before the fight, who clued in a couple of reporters just before the conference.

Pacquiao apparently had no marching orders, so as soon as the question came up, he told the truth about the injury and the technicality that disallowed his pain-killing shot.

Pacquiao's adviser, Michael Koncz, who had filled out the form for the commission that would have allowed the injection had Koncz checked "Yes" in a box that asked about any injuries, was also, according to Roach, recommending that mum be the word on the injury.

But once Arum told the two reporters, and once Pacquiao publicly told all, there was no turning back. Now, Mayweather could — and did — spout off about Pacquiao being a guy looking for excuses.

Soon, a member of the Nevada commission was taking the microphone to refute any wrongdoing or unfairness on their part, Arum was spouting back, and the public saw a sport, disintegrating before its eyes. It probably had expected this all along. But the magnitude of this fight seemed to allow some denial. Boxing wouldn't let its usual mess happen at Mayweather-Pacquiao, would it?

interviewer asked roach, if pac wins and looks good, who would you like to see manny fight next. is roach not suppose to say floyd?

No, he should say "Crawford looked pretty good against Postol, we'd like to challenge him", or "Keith Thurman's been asking for a fight, he looked pretty amazing against Shawn Porter, we'd like to try for that fight" or someone else who met the following criteria:

• Is an ACTIVE fighter
• Coming off a big, significant win
• Who would actually be a threat
• And who would bring in lots of money

Floyd only meets two of the 4 criteria above.

Also, Floyd hasn't rematched anyone since Maidana, and that was only because of the SD outcome of the first fight. It wasn't a decisive, unanimous decision like Canelo or Manny.

Bottom line is, Manny and Roach need to move on to the current crop of fighters who are an actual threat. Not focus on the guy that literally embarrassed you in the ring.

Prior to the Postol/Crawford fight Arum was in the news saying Pac has agreed to fight Crawford. What the hell happened? Why did Arum change his mind?

He said if it's up to him it's **** Pacquiao but if that's who Crawford wants to fight then that's who he'll fight. He was upset because they were told they had the Pacquiao fight the first time and they went back on their word and chose Bradley instead. Remember earlier in the year Crawford was dismissing Postol and everybody was trying to claim he was afraid of Postol? That was because he was told he had the Pacquaio fight.

decisive? embarrassing? how did floyd win decisively win and embarass him when manny was the one landing the much cleaner punches? that never made any sense to me. you have to ko floyd in order to win? what else does someone need to do? he had the much cleaner punches, he had the much better defense and he was the ring general and forced floyd to clinch and bend over consantly which floyd wouldn't have done if he was in control of the fight. it was a bad decision in boxing terms so why are you pretending it was some sort of schooling? just cause you like floyd you have to lie to yourself?

you are being so hyperbolic saying it was embarrassing and easy. floyd nicked a win because of reputation and because people thought it was his type of fight but thats not how you score boxing. you score on punches, etc...and he didn't win those categories. he only won the i'm floyd category. the only one who embarrassed himself was floyd while bending over below the waist and having his face 6 inches from the canvas. he did that over 35 times and its not even legal. you probably think that illegal things coutn as defense lol. and he still got hit cleaner while doing all these illegal moves but yea he embarassed pac. does illegal moves constantly and gets hit cleaner=you got schooled! you know your boxing sir.
