Best Marvel vs Capcom game? MVC 1, MVC 2, or MV3?

I hate the fact MVC 3 got rid of the 2d sprites and replaced them with 3d models. It looks fugly and I can't get into teh game at all. When I think of Marvel Vs Capcom I think of the games I grew up with in the arcade with beautiful 2d sprite goodness!
