I have to admit I’m not much of a drinker, but I know some friends who have been drunk to the point of being really dizzy, but they seem to have always been in control of their faculties and were never aggressive. They however, tend to lose all inhibitions and say things that they shouldn’t. LOL

So when I hear that people do things they shouldn’t do and can’t remember what happened when they were drunk, I am suspicious. It sounds like a convenient excuse to me.

Nag alala ako dun sa mga kasama ko na baka masaktan dahil hindi naman makatakbo ng mabilis kaya doble-doble ang worry ko nun.

I remember when I was challenged ng isang lasing na motorista habang nakatigil sa traffic sa EDSA. Kinakatok ng malakas ang salamin ko sa driver side na halos mabasag pero hindi ako lumabas kahit armado ako.

Alam ko kasi na pwede pa umiwas.

I am a drinker and never came in my drinking life that I feel aggresive and want some fight.

Though i believe that what the person thinks and wants to do gets amplified when drunk. I often get too drank to the point that I got "black-out" and wake up on my bed not knowing how I got home and can't remember anything. I always ask my friends what I did and they told me that I got talkative and eats pulutan much LOL . but aside from that, they told me I just sneak like a ninja and they never knew that I already leave the place.

Nagkatuwaan kami ng aking girlfriend at kahit gabi ay nagpunta kami sa Palace in the Sky, Tagaytay kasama ang kanyang alalay. Gusto naming makita ang lights ng Metro Manila sa gabi.

Nag park ako sa ibaba ng Palace in the Sky kung saan talagang nagpa-park ang mga sasakyan. Naglalakad kami papunta sa mga jeep na naghahatid sa taas ng Palace ng biglang may humarang na jeep na may sakay na mga lalaki na mukhang mga lasing.

May isang nakasakay sa harap tabi ng driver at meron din mga apat o mahigit pa sa likod (hindi ko sure kung ilan).

Nambuska at nambastos ang mga ito. Naka-sense na ako ng danger at that point pero hindi muna ako nagsalita para makaiwas sa gulo, pero nagpatuloy sila at lalong nambuska. I asked them in a calm voice to stop so we can proceed to our destination (pero kinakabahan na ako talaga).

The man seated in front and besides the driver alighted from the jeep and started to walk towards us while shouting challenges. He was at least 5meters from where we were. My mind was racing at that point (ganun pala yun).

Tumatakbo sa utak ko ano ang mga posibleng mangyayari pag nagkasalpukan, at ano ang gagawin ko. Should I reason with them, ask for forgiveness, retreat with the girls, shout for help, or stand my ground.

I was armed and very well trained in gun handling and I really doubt the girls can run fast so I decided to stand my ground. I drew my gun tucked in a concealed back holster and slammed a bullet into the chamber. I pointed the gun on the ground but towards his general direction and in a loud voice told him “ madidisgrasya ka”.

When the idiot saw my gun at yung pagkasa ng baril, he froze 3 meters away. Everything was happening fast pero parang matagal habang nagyayari. My mind was still racing for all possible scenarios.

At that point, I ordered the girls to go back to the vehicle but they didn’t. They stayed at my back complicating our situation.

Two of the men at the back also alighted, they were at my left side. Dito ako naging aware na may isa pa palang danger side. Still pointing the gun on the ground and stepping back 2 meters, I asked them not to come near because I will shoot. My mind was racing but I was really ready to shoot any threats that will come our way.

To my relief, the two men said, “aawatin lang naming, pasensya na at lasing kasi”. Nang makasakay na ang mga hinayupak ay sumigaw yung mga nasa likod ng jeep at sinabing, “babalikan ka namin”.

Sa tingin ko nagyari lahat ito ng wala pang 1 minuto

Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit walang umaawat na mga taga dun dahil marami pa rin naming mga tao at that time. Sa tingin ko kilala nila yung mga idiots.

We went back to our vehicle and sped away. Pero nakita ko pa rin yung jeep nakatigil sa isang kanto at ang mga lalaki ay nasa labas ng jeep looking towards the direction of the Palace in the Sky. Ina-abangan siguro kami.

Harrowing experience but I am glad it did not degenerate into something uglier.
