if you're playing with fake money you're really not playing poker. guys online with those fake money poker games don't care about their bets or playing well. the money is fake, after all. just wait for good cards and bet. they'll probably call with a jack high.

now, if you're playing online poker with real money, even at a low stakes table, and you regularly clear out tables and finish in the black then you are probably a good poker player.

i played a lot in college. maybe once a week. started in high school, but really didn't start to understand the game until i started to play with better players. chris moneymaker, an accountant and basically a novice poker pro, had just won the world series of poker after winning a satelite tournament for the 5000 entrance fee. he won several million dollars in cash. the game blew up basically overnight right as i was exiting high school.

now if i'm at a casino i'd rather just play [lose at] blackjack. poker tables amount to a ton of sitting around.

I used to play online for $ (nothing too crazy like the pros or nothin) but I kinda fell off that in favor of sportsbetting... Always fun to play with people in real life who are really cheap though , too easy.

Lmao i have billions in FB zynga poker but that's nothing to brag about because it's fake money.

I know a bad poker player right away when they brag about how good they are at bluffing or catching someone bluffing.

Good poker players talk about pot odds, bet odds, range.

I do play real money poker both live and online. I consider myself a decent poker player. I know basics pot/bet odds, range, etc...

I don't play much online anymore since fed seized online poker.

I've been playing since Nixon was president, but only for fun. Figuring odds, working statistics takes the fun out it for me. I have a couple groups of guys that I play with twice a month, again, just for fun. You might lose or win $100 or so, that's all.

I also play, through Amazon Fire TV, two poker games. One is called Casino Championship Poker, the other is Poker Stars but it's not the one online which I play sometimes also. The AMazon apps are fun...you play Sit and Go with three to five people and also Hold 'me with up to 8 other people. Your winnings are cumulative. I have not bought any chips although they constantly try to sell you chips. It's fun for me, actually more fun and more sanitary than at a casino. There are two Indian casinos an hour north of Dallas just over the Oklahoma border. I used to go once in a while but not since I started playing with the Amazon apps.
