  • Comments Thread For: Murray: Warren Does My Head In, Must Stop GGG-Saunders Talk

Martin Murray has taken a swipe at Frank Warren ahead of his fight with Billy Joe Saunders. The St Helens middleweight will challenge the Hatfield ace for the WBO belt in just over two months' time. Murray, with a victory, will hold the only belt that is not in the custody of Gennady Golovkin, the Kazakh WBC, WBA Super, IBO and IBF champion.
But he is concerned that the promoter of the show on June 23 at the O2 Arena in London is dismissing his chances of winning the fight.

"It is what it is" - Frank Warren

All you need to know. Saunders is fighting an almost been who has declined severely. Another "good fight" in a stacked division.

“It is what it is”, the most vague nothingness of an answer a person can give.

Whoa Warren didn't even deny it!!! That's crazy SMH well Martin Murray needs to perform if he wants to change this situation. And it doesn't look like he'll get a decision if the fight goes twelve. Sad part is he'll probably end up losing and still be with Warren.

it's actually a useful way to draw a line under a situation in a nice way instead of saying
          like it or lump it
          tough ****
          deal with it
          accept it!
          get over it!

" it is what it is". Translation - you were lucky to get a win over gabe rosado so you were picked as a stay busy fight for saunders as he waits to cash in his belt vs a much bigger name.

Understand what Murray means but at the end of the day he has never done enough to convincingly win a belt! BJS is clearly the favourite

hmmm.... alot would disgree... he has clearly been robbed in one world title fight and probably just scraped enough to win in another.. maybe you can put that down to having to take the belt from the champion in the case of martinez... but he definitely beat abraham

and yet, compared to Golovkin's up-coming opponent, Murray looks like a killer

                    yea, fair point

any idea who is the WBO mandatory ?
