  • Deontay Wilder Talks Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, and Trashes Eddie Hearn

“Eddie Hearn has never been on this stage as a promoter,” said Wilder. “He was too smart for his own self. You playing around with people (Finkel and Haymon) who have been in the game for over thirty damn years—guys that had all the top fighters. And you’re trying to come up with estimated numbers about this and that, when you’ve done nothing in America. You don’t know anything! He done messed up. This is just the beginning. [He and Joshua] are going to need a groundhog hole. Because it’s going to get humiliating, especially when Fury and me get done with each other.”

Hearn is such a bad promoter compared to haymon that's why Joshua is earning at least 10 million more a fight in half the time.

Lol stop it. You're saying the truth though.

$10 million is small potatoes compared to what he would have made had he stepped into the ring with Wilder. But no doubt, he HAD been promoted well up until that point.

But the truth is whoever AJ fights, even if it is some bum from under the nearest overpass he will still make $10-$15m.
AJ probably made more money in his last fight then all Wilders fights combined.
Wilder can claim many things against AJ and how poor they have been in negotiations. But the one thing he cannot do is talk about how badly promoted he is being. When you are a fighter making $1m tops a fights and not sold one single ppv buy you can't really talk about other people in a promotional sense.

That's not really something to brag about. Basically saying Joshua can fight nobodies and dummies will pay for it no matter what. But we do have examples of it a bit in boxing as both Floyd and Pac milked fans for years before stepping in the ring together

Of course I 100% agree. But the reality is you and I are boxing fans. People like Joshua attract people who wouldn't consider themselves true boxing fans just a fan of AJ and they will pay to watch it. Even if we don't think it is worth it at all.
That is the difference in what I was trying to say above.
Regardless of our views on AJ, the snake Hearn or Wilder. We can all agree that the sole reason AJ is able to make as much as he does is because of how he has been marketed. Mainly to the casual fans.
Wilder has been seriously failed in a marketing sense. His profile has not really risen yet. To be a world heavyweight champion for a few years, American and barely selling out 10k arenas and not having any ppv fights shows how little interest in him there is. The question is why is that? Whos fault is that?
Like I said Wilder has a lot he can gripe about in how Hearn and co messed up this fight. But to talk about someone else who sells out stadiums and does over 1m ppv buys per fight whilst not being able to do that yourself seems a bit hypocritical to me.

Absolutely. It really IS up to the fans after all. They're the ones paying the dollars.

Shock horror, Wilder is talking about AJ again. Dude is so insecure and jealous of AJ it's frightening.

Deontay, you fight in unsold arenas every time and make peanuts in comparison, so you've got no room to talk. You fight bums nearly every time but when you fight someone better they are at their worst. You "career" has been nothing but a shambles. You have the worst resume in boxing by a long way. Hell, you have one of the worst resumes in boxing history. How many fighters can anyone name with a worse resume after 40 fights? Exactly.

And as for promoting, how many fights do Finkle and Haymon do that can match Hearns cards for attendance? They don't come close. Hearns cards are always sellouts while Finkle and Haymon has plenty of empty seats in almost every fight. So you don't know what you're talking about boy. You're just trying to smear Hearn at every turn to convince everyone that everything you say is the truth when it isn't. You're a joke.

And yet... $50 million is not enough to risk Joshua fighting this "joke"
