Hopkins' win over Trinidad was more impressive.

Trinidad was better and more accomplished than Hatton and was the betting favorite going into the BHop fight. Hatton was a pretty clear underdog against Floyd.

Trinidad and Hatton were both the smaller guys that moved up but Tito looked destructive against Joppy who was a full-fledged and ranked MW fighter. While Hatton struggled mightily against Luis Collazo at WW.

So BHop beating Tito at MW>Floyd beating Ricky at WW

Trinidad was a much better fighter than Hatton on my opinion so Hopkins's win was more impressive.

Neither was impressive. Hatton was a little guy who eked out a win vs Luis Collazo prior to the Mayweather bout, and at 160 Felix was only a title holder, not a true middleweight. Most of the MW champs you can name off the top of your head would beat a 160 lb Tito...Benn, Eubank, Watson, Collins, RJJ, Toney, McCallum, Jackson if he landed first, McClellan, Taylor, Abraham, GGG, Canelo...possibly Charlo and Andrade whip him as well...and the list goes on.

Neither Hatton or Tito belonged at those weights.

                  Hopkins...Easily Hopkins.

To say Trinidad didn't even belong at MW is laughable when he handled a top 5 MW at that time in Joppy with ease. In fact, he was a solid favorite over Hopkins heading into that fight.

Considering Tito destroyed Joppy in the first round of the 2001 middleweight tournament coming directly up from junior middleweight as the last piece of the puzzle and the underdog but then went onto be the betting favourite against B Hop following his massive statement win. That moment and that tournament was momentous, I wish that the Royal divisions will step up and enter the WBSS given that the rights aren't held off to exclusive networks if they're feeling like everyone can get a piece of the pie involved.
