The thread's presumption is of course, NONSENSE.

There is no way of knowing how good a tall, athletic NBA,NFL player could've/would've been in Boxing. It's all speculative drivel to undermine The Klitschko's and the Tall-Man style that they have perfected.

This is like saying the best swimmer Michael Phelps would've been a great runner/sprinter if he had dedicated his athletic life to running. Or that Usain Bolt would've been the fastest swimmer if he had took up swimming instead of sprinting.

    It's speculative nonsense.

agreed. . . people just trying to deal with the klitschko's ruling of the HW division with iron fists. . .

i don't know why people think that athletic talent = pound for pound boxer? natural athletic talent is only one dynamic. . .

And this is supposed to be good? That people from the US don't care about boxing anymore? This is sad actually, since the US has always been one of the major exponents of boxing and has always been recognized for their great HWs, until now.

The Klitschko brothers are the best of the HW division because they train very hard, I'm sure most boxing fans (even those who dislike the K brothers) realize that they are always in top shape and give a 100% on their training camps. They are also very athletic by nature of course, they have good genetics since both are over 6'6'' and have a very athletic build, but they have developed their bodies and their skills to be able to take advantage of every single quality they possess.

It's absolutely impossible to tell if the K brothers would be the best if there were more great american HWs just because there aren't and that's not their problem. Is is Wlad or Vitali's fault that americans don't care about boxing anymore? No, they always train at 100% and fight whoever challenges them.

If Usain Bolt went into swimming, would Michael Phelps have been the fastest swimmer?

                Agreed.

The Brothers are here to stay for now and non K2 fans have to learn to accept that.

I wouldnt mind seeing Seth Mitchell and Deontay Wilder as world champions in the future. Guys bring excitement but need lots of work.

Is it "speculative nonsense" when Vitali wins all of these fantasy fights against all-time great Heavyweights in the E-boxing world, but has won NONE in the actual real world?

When you have a country with a 100 year history of producing ATG highly skilled, and athletically gifted Heavyweights, be at a place in time when the sport is at a ALL-TIME LOW as far as popularity and prominance in American athletics and has been in sharp, steady decline for the past 15 years, while the Football & Basketball are at a ALL TIME HIGH in popularity & prominance and is over flowing with elite Heavyweight sized athletes... of course it's just a coincidence and "speculative nonsense".

Eddie Chambers & Chris "tittybawls" Areola are America's elite, most primely athletically gifted & talented Heavyweight sized athletes.

                    Get real buddy.

                    Oh gee, i don't know.

Maybe because of the fact that the Klitschko's athleticism & conditioning is mainly what sets them apart from the rest of the division?

No. Vitali winning in Fantasy matchups is based on empirical evidence, or empirical research. We have seen him at work and can therefore make a case, which is open to debate/discussion.

There is nothing empirical about presuming that NFL/NBA athletes could've been great fighters.

The idea that the reason U.S. Boxing at Heavyweight is down the toilet due to all of the athletes going to other sports is Anecdotal evidence, at best.
