Year ago the idea was that Gold is a soft metal and biting it was a test that it was real. But now it is a way to show off that you have a medal and it's gold.

It's 93 % silver, 1% gold and 6% copper. Metal value $650. Of course it would sell for a lot more because it's a genuine Olympic medal.

The bronze medals metal value is under $5 LOL.
