Well he was a boring fighter but he was top ranked when the era of mega-events and social media hype broke through. This was true for all sports/events/music/etc. They all blew up. A generation ago a million dollars was crazy athlete/musician money.

I think if someone with an interesting style & personality comes along and becomes p4p king they will eclipse his numbers. If anything he sandbagged it a bit.
