I discovered this last night on Netflix. It's a series from 2005 with Neil Degrasse Tyson and it's really good. I think this is where the idea for him doing the Cosmos series cam from.
It's like Cosmos, but lower budget and more detailed. He goes more in detail about the basic principles of Cosmology and some physics. He also gives a good history lesson on there as well.
It's more for people who want facts and science lessons than real entertainment. It's just him standing in front of some cosmic background talking about science.
The episodes run about 30 minutes and I found it really interesting. If you like this sort of stuff, it's worth checking out on Netflix. You can just stream it, no need to order the DVD since I don't have that option on Netflix.
