  • Ufc dana white made huge mistake offering 25 million for boxing match

Dana opened up a can of worms that will destroy ufc, conor mcgregor got a boxing license, he is now protected by the ali act, dana is a promoter president of ufc, he publically offered a deal for a boxing match on tv and said it was a serious offer, he done ****ed up now. Smh

The fertitas were smart selling the company when they did, they knew conor would be the problem. Ufc is screwed either way, if they dont let conor box they will be hit witha lawsuit that will open way for scorned ex ufc fighters to tesify, aka randy couture who said conor will be protected by ali act. Also if they do let conor fight and pay him 25 million it will make ufc fighters protest and demand lions share pay. Ufc is not going to be profitable, fertitas knew it and its why they never liked conor and sold, dana brought conor in, and now conor will open up lots of bad thing for ufc with his defiance and demands. Danas creation is his biggest problem

It will likely fold. The new owners will not invest more and take a loss, they will fold the company. Ufc cant be like boxing because mma has no sanctioning body. Ufc creates their own ranking system, and doesnt co promote with other orgs

The new owners only bought ufc for future profit i doubt they are huge mma fans. And they never thoguht of this possibly happening

If it hurts Dana that's a good thing. He is a greedy cheapskate who rules his fighters with an iron hand. He refuses to pay them a reasonable amount of money that they deserve for fighting in a very rough sport. They do the fighting and bleeding and White makes most of the money.

Lots of people are confused on these boards because they are anti-MMA.

I do not follow MMA at all, but one thing is clear - they will be okay with or without McGregor. In fact I think the sport as a whole becomes stronger, more diverse once Dana White forfeits his control.

Will that affect the sport? Nope. The real success by the UFC is simplicity. Ready for it? Here's the real trick.

ONE champion per ONE weight class. Even redneck casuals can understand it (~95% of UFC fanbase).

Boxing has like 4+ "champions" per weight class. It's literally a joke. Like not being funny, it is literally a joke.

UFC will crumble without Dana white, the new owners do not love MMA like the Fertitas or Dana. they just saw it as an investment for profit.

If Conor gets the mayweather fight it will open a can of worms, for years fighters have complained about fighter pay in MMA saying how come boxers make 20 million a fight. there will be no more profit, thats how UFC makes money by paying fighters 50k to show 50k to win, UFC also has to invest millions in promotion and marketing, if fighters start getting paid millions each main event ppv the UFC will not be profitable and the new owners will either fold or sell. Dana will probably jump ship to boxing.

The model UFC has is like WWE its a company, there is no collegiate sport, no amateur rankings, its fighting for fun UFC has their own ranking system, you cant do that in Ali act, ali act says the promoter cannot do those type of things they cannot set number one contender status that is up to the sanctioning bodies.

One Mcgregor gets a hefty payday all the othr fighters will start following him and protested and not fight unless they get paid.

only way MMA survives is if they become a legit sport, meaning UFC doesnt control the rankings, they need a governing body a sanctioning body and must fight other fighters in other orgs.

The Fertitas already knew this might happen when McGregor started believing he was floyd and demanding money and shares so they sold it for the biggest profit, they were smart, they sold for 4 billion and bought UFC years ago for like 1 million bucks

The UFC will be fine. A few years ago, people believed that their success or failure hinged on Ronda Rousey - since then, she was overtaken as the sports premier marketable fighter, and has fallen by the wayside. Every fighter is replaceable, and the UFC's marketing machine is already ticking over to create the next superstar of the sport.

While I believe that Dana White's time at the "top" of MMA is coming to an end, he too is just another character in a sport full of characters, and the show will go on without him. People need to remember, this man does not have nearly as much sway as what fans are led to believe - he is a minority owner, and a mouthpiece - not the decision maker. He's like a "General Manager" of WWE Raw or Smackdown - someone who is making money to play a role, but does not represent actual power.

Conor McG is going to make a lot of money, regardless of what he does. As will the UFC.

Do you guys even read? Has nothing to do with stars, it has to do with business and money, once the fertitas sold the company its up in the air, we dont know how passionate the new owners are, from the fighters the new owners dont even interact with them, if the ali act issue comes up and conor gets paid big money all ufc names will demand that pay or else protest, causing issue and profit drops, ufc made profit by paying 100 thousand to show 100kto win, not ten million for headliners.
