Was he the light heavyweight champion of the world with everything to lose in round two when the injury occurred off what he thought was a foul? Or was he danny freakin williams fighting some bum?

Listen, there will ALWAYS be examples of guys doing tough things.

If we go back to my Jay Cutler example of the chicago bears playoff game last year. Was he hurt? Yes. Was the injury legit? Yes. Could he have continued? Probably. Ronnie Lott had the tip of his finger CUT OFF so he could continue playing. Jack Youngblood played with a broken leg in the playoffs. There are always stories of guys doing crazy stuff like that.

Hopkins case, was 1.5 rounds of nothing, he was the champ and had all his titles to lose. He was injured, thought he was fouled, and in his mind the smartest thing was probably not to continue. Could he have with one arm? Like hopkins said, yes. Should he have? That's debatable. Fighting a young, hungry Chad Dawson with one good arm isn't smart. He wasn't fighting some bum like Danny was.

I know that in hopkins first fight against Pascal he came off the canvas two times early in the fight and came back and worked his ass off to get a "draw" in hostile territory. I know that he immediately fought him again for the win despite being hurt numerous times throughout the fight. I don't question hopkins toughness, just like I don't question Jay Cutler's who has been sacked more times than any other QB in the NFL and constantly gets smashed and gets right back up like it's nothing.

@ Adam Smith losing his mind when Williams landed that punch.

I remember this like it was yesterday.

My reaction was similar to Adam's.

Not everyone fights for the fans, many people fight to win. It's a professional sport. Did floyd fight for the fans when he beat Baldimor or did he just get the win? Don't act stupid.

And yes, hopkins went to the hospital night of the fight he got an x-ray. You typically don't get an MRI immediately you get that done from a specialist. I know when I ****ed up my back I went to the ER, they took some basic tests, gave me some meds, recommended me to a specialist and I got a MRI a few days later from said specialist. Hopkins got an MRI done on Tuesday. So stop acting like you're a ****ing doctor you **** hoe
