  • So why didn't Wilder showed interest in fighting Klitschko...

...the same interest he's showing on Joshua?
It's obvious when he saw AJ dismantled Klitsch in a spectacular see-saw battle and in a glittering celebratory environment in the UK, he felt envious.
Let's face it, AJ is huge today because of Klitschko.
Take away the Ukrainian superstar in the equation, AJ would still be a nobody.

Bad timing. He was healing from a broken hand and torn bicep.

He's got 2 years to setup a fight with Klitsch, not to mention powerful Haymon's backing and Showtime.
Even when he's interviewed thousand times he's always thought of the fight as a non priority.
Was he afraid of Klitschko or what?

They were buddies and train in the same camp.

          AJ was huge before Klitschko-

Very few know him outside of the UK.
It's obvious Wilder's interest in AJ went through the roof when he dismantled Klitsch.
A fight that Beyonte should have had access to first before AJ.

He never once pursued a Klitschko fight, he wasn't injured the whole time.

He also never pursued the Haye fight.

They both slapped him about in sparring.

Because Wlad beat his ass in sparring even worse than Haye.

Well, he never showed interest in fighting Fury either when he was around.
It was always some future event that needs 5 years of marination or something.
He was never interested in big fights.
Perhaps it's the Haymon culture he's in in which getting a title means a license to hold on to it the Stevenson-esque way.

Klitschko would have mopped the floor with this fool.
