Ruiz is not some kind of a power-hitter nor an elite fighter. Joshua can beat him even with his current skills and, in fact, should have beaten him.

The only thing Joshua needs is to have strong nerves and a big heart. To hand in there in times of difficulty, summon his reserve energy and fight like a warrior. If he takes the pressure again, all his training would be in vain. What we saw on June 1 was not a noob losing a fight, but a skilled athlete under pressure that looked utterly confused and threw all whatever skills he knew out the window.

They guy couldn't even get his jab going!

Joshua should not engage in a firefight with Ruiz. He should be learning from that 1st fight. He needs to use his feet this time around and just try to box Ruiz. He's alot taller than Ruiz, he needs alot of clinching this time around whenever Ruiz starts unloading on him. I've seen Joshua landing good counters on Ruiz, he can still do that but just avoid exchanges. Looking for a knockout is something Joshua shouldn't do in this rematch.

For Ruiz, everything above is something he should be expecting in a rematch. He should expect a different AJ. He needs to train his cardio this time around and try to make himself lighter. He needs to prepare and spar for clinchers and movers otherwise I think he will be one gassing in the late if AJ does the said above and survives an onslaught in the early rounds.

Or maybe the rematch plays in a different way. Just my 2 cents

Joshua needs to have a more cautious approach. A lot of jabs should be thrown, straight rights. More movement and one-twos should be part of the gameplan too. Like others said Joshua should try to fight like Lennox and Wladimir. I feel like Joshua can win the rematch for sure.

It's been said but Joshua needs to fight tall, use his length and keep the fight outside. Jab hard and fast and drop a right hand in there now and then. He can win a boring decision like that but if starts exchanging with Ruiz he will be in trouble.

Really Ruiz just has to be patient and attack when has the openings.

Everyone here and their mother can see that Joshua needs to Jab, Jab, Jab and never, under any circumstances, trade punches where Ruiz is less than one of his arm lengths away. Use the right hand very very sparingly and only then when it's a sure thing.

            For reference see Wlad/Povetkin.

All Joshua has to do is not get stopped or knocked down more than twice and he gets the decision almost no matter what else happens.
