He'll need a lot of luck and he's going to kiss someone's ass..... A lot... You have to wonder because he's already successful in his own right, if he will back out quicker if he's not seeing what he likes. He has contacts and is well known but unless they want to be rappers... A fighter will pick one of the other promoters first in most cases. He has a wild card in Gamboa who is in the mix to practically fight the biggest names.

We'll see how much respect he has in the boxing game within the next few years (if he lasts that long) by both fighters and promoters. You can't expect him to be Oscar or Arum right off the bat. Oscar has put his whole life into boxing, arum has been invoved in the game lord knows how long now too. Boxing takes time...lots of it. Without Floyd and just being a hanger on Arum i dont know how long thatll work

Yeah I agree I think he can reach maybe DiBella or Gary Shaw Level...but he has more money and fame then both of them

I think he is going to do VERY WELL as a Promoter, gotta remember boxing is still all about the fighters, I don't watch fights based on "WHO THE PROMOTER IS" I watch fights for the FIGHTERS! So who knows if he can sign more big name fighters and also DEVELOP young and up and coming fighters and help them become a start then I think it can be a huge success but it is going to take time and a lot of work to build it up

only way fiddy can because a big boxing promoter is if Dirrell beats Ward and Gamboa beats Pac or Floyd

i doubt it...everything is so political and arum and company(shaeffer/dlh, dibella, shaw, etc.) have the game locked with the keys.

i dony know any jew(arum) who's gonna break bread with 50 unless they get paid more in the process

Doesn't matter, 50 has tons of fans in regards to his music. Hopefully he can bring boxing into the lives of others now. He's a great asset to boxing's lifeline.

Do people understand how hard it is to get to a Gary Shaw, Lou Dibella, or even Dan Goosen level? These guys have left footprints in the sport and have numerous connections, acquaintances, and strong reputations that money can't buy. Relationships with the commissions, networks, casinos, and behind the scenes people that make **** happen. 50 has an okay stable, but it means very little in the grand scheme of things. And yes he has money, but how much will he want to invest into a business with increasingly diminishing returns? I'm not saying he can't become a player, but the battle is uphill.

I voted no way. He does not seem very good at it so far. He is not getting his fighters good fights. He has Gamboa, one of the best fighters in boxing and he gets him a fight with a guy I never heard of instead of a tittle fight. It took him way to long to get Gamboa into the ring as well as his other fighters. He started off calling Oscar a girl and insulting him. He made an enemy of one of the most powerful men in boxing who controls so many fighters his fighters could be matched into. He does not seem to understand the boxing business the way he does the music business.
