I was at work. It was 106 degrees. My kids tied her up to wash a car and she was near death when they went to untie her. I bathed her this morning and shes been laying by the fan since.

It happens quick... Its hard to know, your kids had the sense to keep the dog outside, its just hard to know how important shade and water is and... watching the temperature. Some breeds, mutts do better in the heat than others.

Unfortunately that would take a lot of dog owners out of the equation. Temperatures are getting hotter... Its forgivable to learn that keeping a dog outside is not an option, but then we get people who keep dogs in a closed vehicle, and the many people who will not let dogs be dogs to each other, etc...
