And this isn't even all the fights and cards DAZN has had the last month.

next week you got Devin Haney card. The week after that you got Joshua/Ruiz the week after that you got GGG fight. After that you got the WBSS Cruiserweight Semi finals. week after that you got Cancio/Machado rematch, week after that Andrade fighting. It's not even a comparison to what Showtime is giving in terms of quantity or quality. DAZN has lapped Showtime that's not even a debate right now.

As of right now the next Showtime card isn't until the end of NEXT month June 29 lol
Dazn is dead last by a mile in US viewership. Nice try tho.

Showtime being out of the boxing business was just a matter of time once pbc got that FOX deal. FOX has shown they can promote a PPV better than showtime also so there is no need for showtime.

What's their viewership numbers? Because nobody knows. The only numbers we do know is Canelo/Jacobs which did more viewers then any Showtime card this year. And Showtime is avg 298K viewers in 2019. lmao

IF you are a boxing fan like I said look at all the boxing DAZN has given the last month compared to Showtime? Hell look at the entire slate of fighter world class fights every week from now until June 29 (which is the next time Showtime has their next boxing card). Showtime is now way behind DAZN, ESPN and FOX/FS1 for boxing content.

A lot of people blames Al Haymon for keeping Deontay Wilder off DAZN but the fact of the matter it is was Stephen Espinoza all along who kept him away because his company is a rival competitor of DAZN. In addition, he is the president of Showtime's Sports programming.

Therefore, he had a lot of pressure in ensuring that Wilder wouldn't have bolted to another platform. Al Haymon is not the boss or a network executive at Showtime or either Fox.

So he could care less where his fighters land; Just so long he gets his cut. However, if he wants to keep his deals with CBS and Fox, intact then he must toe the company line and do as he is told.

Personally, I don't believe that Haymon had a problem with Wilder fighting on DAZN because he would have gotten a greater cut from his client's purse if he had.

However, I believe that it was his bosses at CBS mainly Stephen Espinoza and perhaps Fox instructed him to persuade Wilder and Luis Ortiz to stay on their television network and they did.

Al was the one making the fighters more while eddie was trying to get a few of them over to dazn but eddie obviously failed in the pay me department....LOL....so dazn is paying Nelo & espn is paying fury while all the PBC fighters bank has gone up. Seems like Al is spreading the pot. Now the ONLY people that have a problem with that are the people that can't get that piece of the pie the fighters were making which is sad cuz aint none of them putting their lives on the line but quick to put their dirty hands in the jar.

In addition, I don't believe that Al Haymon had to foot the bill for that Showtime World Championship fight card either. That money came straight out of CBS's own budget.

They have a vested interest in keeping Deontay Wilder on their network. So for a promoter to pay $10 mil out of his own pocket for a non pay per view event; Is absurd. Please let's get real here.

This article was designed as an obvious attempt at disseminating false propaganda against Al Haymon in order to undermine and discredit him. It comes with the territory when you are on top of the food chain. People are often envious and jealous of you.
CBS has a new CEO. If Showtime is losing subscribers, boxing is going to be one of the first things they're going to dump from their original programming lineup. Boxing is way behind in ratings compared to Showtime's flagship programs like Homeland, Shameless, Ray Donovan, and Billions. The only shows doing worse ratings than PBC are much cheaper to produce than the ~$60 million a year they're spending on boxing. For comparison $60 million was Game of Thrones' season 1 budget and they were getting 3-5x as many viewers.

its hilarious though....every other promoter would do some of the same things....you have a bunch of talent in one division? of course youre gonna match all your guys up right? everyone does or has done it.....arum did it didnt he? the minute arum has a crawford though and no one to match him up with he starts crying about haymon and every eat its up like a bunch of queers....but bob has practiced the same exact thing when he has the cards to play....
Jermall Charlo And Marcus browne are in the same boat as Crawford.

All promoters make good fights and bad fights. Sometimes overmatched opponents make a better fight than expected like Benavidez vs Crawford and lopez vs thurman. And sometimes great fights on paper suck in real life.

With Haymon itís people who are way to supportive or way to much hate. Not many in the middle.
