Just finish watching "The Quiet Place" with Korean hard encoded subtitles but i got English sub to over place it. Its "Pitch Black" meet "The Road". Pretty good but not better than "The Mist". - 7.3/10
Others that i've watched recently
The Salton Sea - 6.3/10
Dead Man's Shoes - 6.5/10
To Kill A Mockingbird - 6.2/10 (Good acting by the child actors especially the tom boyish girl)
Idiocracy - racist/10

The Killer Inside Me 2/10
Picked it up for a quid for something to watch. Exploitative, messy video nasty starring the charisma vacuum Casey Affleck which tries to be a cross between American Psycho and No Country For Old Men. It’s a hot mess with only Jessica Alba in her undercrackers to recommend it. Avoid.

all time favorite, robocop 1987.
and a few that come to my mind:
goodfellas.
this is spinal tap.
the godfather 1.
jurassic park.
el dia de la bestia (spanish film from 1995).
from dusk till dawn.
akira (japanse animated film from 1988).
tesis (spanish film from (1996)
dredd 3d
mad max, fury road.
three billboards outside ebbing missouri.
two films that i found about in this thread that i think are great, cold in july and what we do in the shadows.
and if i can recommend an argentine film it would be a movie called "wakolda" (the english title is "the german doctor") from 2013.Last edited by Dean_Razorback; 05-30-2018, 11:34 AM.

I've heard of tesis but never seen it. The director Alejandro Amenábar's movies are one i look out for ever since i watched The Others and love it. One of my favorite horror movies. I've watched Regression which was pretty mediocre imo and Vanilla Sky, the English version of Abre los ojos. Nothing special too imo.
I might look into tesis now. Have you seen the movie Coherence bro?
