Outside his base, the majority of the world regards him as a clown and scam artist

Macron laughed at him after their recent meeting

The only thing that he’s got going for him is American military power

Aside from that, he’s a joke to everyone else

Abe, and many Japanese politicians respect Trump. Obama had the same American military power and didn’t know how to use it.
Crimea happened on Obama’s watch. Obama is viewed as a joke in Japan now. His lofty speeches never translated into very much in tangible results.
