The $1M purse is an advance. Bradley isn't going to bring that in extra revenue for this fight; Canelo Alvarez might barely be getting that for his fights and he's selling thousands of seats, probably adding thousands of PPVs, and getting Mexican TV revenue on the side.

Arum can live with it though because he's making millions in revenue for Pacquiao-Marquez III and he knows he's going to recoup that and more off of Bradley in his next fight against Pacquiao.

Bob had to get him to sign on the dotted line so he had to make promises, easy to cover up that cost when there expects to be a lot of money coming in plus he should look good against Casamayor so is is a good advertisement for the future.

Price of doing business, but it will be interesting to see what they do with Bradley in the future because they basically have to have him fight Manny for this cost to be worth it because Bradley is only worth so much on his own but for that fight it makes a lot of sense
