In the Japanese version Balrog was called Mike Bison instead of the final bos being M. Bison.

No.. It wasn't the rape case... Balrog was one of the bosses in the first game I do believe, but capcom didn't want to get sued for likeness infringement, especially since mike Tyson punch out was one of the biggest games of the late 80s..
